The climate of the music industry has changed significantly in the past ten years, allowing independent musicians the opportunity to make professional recordings and market them all over the world thanks to technology. SellaBand (Sellaband.com) is one of the fan-funding websites is at the forefront of this music revolution. Apryl Evans just completed funding her next music project – a 5 song EP – through the Sellaband platform, where fans can purchase “parts” (or shares) in an artist's music in an effort to help reach a monetary goal.
